Google has another tool now that searches through blogs. I was thinking about purchasing a home paper shredder and wondered if anyone had blogged about home paper shredders. What I found was surprising. My search returned 6779 results.

The first result for my home paper shredders blog search was an article in the Internet Home Business Articles e-zine. The article was entitled The Important Function of Shredders and since its publication on the internet four months ago; it has been viewed eight times.

The next result for my blog search for home paper shredders was an article about guarding yourself against identity theft. The article spreads fear and advocates shredding everything that you throw away. The article points you towards cheap models at WalMart.

I read an interesting blog that really wasn't about home paper shredders. The article was about a company in Washington that does commercial paper shredding for governmental and other offices. He was quoted as saying his shredders could shred seven thousand pounds of paper per hour. That was impressive.

The next result in my search about home paper shredders actually made me cry. I was unaware that most home paper shredders have an auto-on feature. This basically means that most home paper shredders will sit idle and come on when paper gets fed into the slot. This can be problematic with pets and children.
