Anyone know of a good security camera? Want one that is wireless, broadcasts over the Internet, can see in the dark and can pan and get tight shots. Anything under $1000.

Need it cause some aholes keep stopping in front of my house to take pictures all hours of the day. Because it's a new house, I think they are trying to plan a robbery or something.

Or would getting Westec home security or other security better?

Most of us now relied on our cell phone more than the house phone like old days. Eventually the house phone just sit at home to collect dust. Basically I do not wish to wasted $40 a month on something I will no longer use. In fact, I do want to install a home security system that doesn't required traditional phone line. Yet still be able to monitor the house 24/7 at their headquarter. Will notify the police, fire dep, or ambulance.
Beside ADT or Brinks. Are there any Wireless Home security system out there is trustworthy? I saw uControl online but never heard or know anyone use it before.

What are the Pro's and Con's to owning a home security system? And whats the differents between putting a sticker on your door that says you have security system, then actually owning one? Full Details please.

I want a home security system for house flippers.
1) I want to be able to setup a combination of wireless and wired devices.
2) I want to setup hidden motion detectors, microphones and speakers.
3) Hook up a hard or Cell line to the system.
4) if something triggers an alarm i want be called and be able to:
a) have my phone ring and tell me which sensor was triggered
b) Be able to listen on the system microphones.
c) Be able to forward my voice through the system to a room in the house to give the appreance that someone is home.
d) Activate Lights on in the house to give the appearance of someone being home.
e) possible even monitor the system or forward video through the internet.
5) This system should be designed to be easily hidden, installed and moved to another location.

I'm looking for some good quality home security system(DVR+Color Cameras). I need most capabilities for the DVR like optimized storage, 160GB space, motion detection, good quality, connection to TV/Monitor. Cameras connect to DVR via BNC connector and colored with night-vision.
Suggest any with good balance between price and quality?

I recently switched from traditional landline phone to Vonage cable internet phone. However, my home security system can not communicate with the monitoring station as a result of disconnecting the phone line. How could I rewire my home phone wires to make my home security system work with the internet phone?
